I am honored to share that my peer-reviewed postdoctoral paper, ‘How Dream Teams Become Nightmares: How the Apollo Effect Can Damage Teams Regardless of Modality,’ will be presented on October 20, 2026, at the BEST Conference 2026. I have also been invited to serve as a Session Chair.

This research extends my dissertation findings, The Double-Edged Sword: A Study in Remote Work from the Perspectives of Leadership and Followership on the Topics of Communication, Team Design, and Productivity.

The paper examines the Apollo Effect and explores how teams of highly capable individuals can still face collaboration, communication, and productivity challenges whether they work in person, remotely, or in hybrid environments.

The work also incorporates concepts from my book, Remote Work Is Here to Stay: Rethinking Operations Management in the Modern Work Era. Together, the book, dissertation, and postdoctoral research contribute to the growing conversation about team design, leadership, and organizational effectiveness in modern workplaces.

As both presenter and Session Chair, I look forward to engaging with scholars and practitioners from around the world during this fully remote conference.
