I am excited to share that I have been accepted as a presenter at the Academy of Business Research (AOBR) Fall Conference Online, taking place July 30–31, 2026. My manuscript, entitled ‘The Double-Edged Sword: A Study in Remote Work from the Perspectives of Leadership and Followership on the Topics of Communication, Team Design, and Productivity,’ has officially been scheduled for presentation as part of the conference program.
This research examines one of the most important workplace transformations of the modern era: remote work. The study explores the benefits and challenges associated with remote work through both leadership and followership perspectives. Specifically, the research investigates how communication practices, team design, and productivity are influenced by remote and hybrid work arrangements. As organizations continue to adapt to changing workforce expectations, understanding the experiences of both leaders and employees is critical to creating sustainable and effective work environments.
The presentation will highlight the reality that remote work is neither universally positive nor universally negative. Instead, it represents a complex organizational tool that can strengthen performance when paired with effective communication strategies, intentional team structures, and leadership approaches based on trust and accountability. The findings contribute to the ongoing discussion surrounding the future of work and provide practical insights for business leaders, researchers, and human resource professionals.
I am honored to have the opportunity to present this work to fellow researchers and practitioners who are helping shape the future of business.
